i would not put much emphasis on the 1st round, but the fight would have been different if mayorga did not give free shots to tito

"give free shots to tito"... that sounds completely wrong

Mayorga was comprehensively outboxed in that fight, and by a ring-rusty Tito. The only good thing that came out of that fight was that Tito didn't realize how bad he was after the lay-off and he went straight for Winky...who duly game him a lesson in boxing...finally a big name wasn't dodging Wright.

His balls had nothing to do with it..it was his face that kept getting in the way and made him lose. Tito was going to pick him apart regardless. Don't ever say something like that again or we might have to drug test ya!!!....

Prime Tito wouldn't have beat Winky Wright. Its just a style problem for him. Tito could beat a slick boxer like say, a Cory Spinks, but that slick boxer has to be a guy who doesn't stay out of harms way for all 36 minutes. If Trinidad-Mayorga 2 happens, I will order it because of how exciting the first fight was and how great Tito is but to be honest, there isn't a whole lot of drama since we clearly saw who the better fighter was the first time.

Mayorga's come-forward plodding style was perfect for Tito's...and i just realized how tough Mayo's whiskers really are, i mean he took a lot of clean shots from Tito, others would've been sent on the canvass by those, but he was actually finally stopped by a body shot.

Mayorga doesn't know how to fight when he's on the back foot, 6 heads Lewis proved that, he was just too damn aggressive for his own good and got tagged. Cory Spinks made him look so amateurish lol

Oscar has the luxury of choosing how to win this fight - he can box him or just counterpunch him all night.

I worry about where Ricardo's head is at with the money thing. I predicted a few months ago Mayorga by KO but now I just don't know. Both fighters are usually frontrunners. If Oscar gets gassed and starts to get on the bicycle, will Mayorga have any energy left from throwing too many haymakers. I do think people are underestimating the layoff factor. All I know is that thru 6 rounds it will be a classic

                I agree with you!

If he does'nt do anything as damm as before and keeps his cool, DLH could retire after Saturday May 6th.

I like De la Hoya but I love boxing first.

                  sloppy

Mayorga is a sloppy fighter with a chin of steel. We dont know what De La Hoya will do or how much rust is there? But from his last 2 performances Strum got robbed, b-hop took him out with body shots. I say this will be a fight for the body. Who goes to the body more will win the fight.
So this is any bodys fight if you ask me. Still rooting for Mayo so PBF gets screwed

oh and the tito fight? Dont know what mayo was thinking witht he free hit me shots to the face but that was not his weakness, it was the body. Mayo has a tough beard he proved that in the first round against tito.

Out boxing Mayorga is not to hard. Cory Spinks did it. Now imagine Oscar which has great boxing skills and OK power, he will box circles around Mayo until Mayo quits. I am really hoping for a competitive fight though.

"vamo a ver si va' a seguir hablando ahora"

is what tito's father says to mayorga when they go to touch gloves ....

                      translates to

"lets see if you gonna keep on talking now"

                      classic.
