I didn't want to hear the truth either when I was younger, it hurt too much when I finally realised that an underaged high school wrestler would bodyslam prime Tyson on a concrete floor and win.

Boxing is still the sweet science and has a certain place that other combat sports can't surpass. But the limitation is real.

Lol @ everyone saying Paulie cause he doesn't hit hard, recently even Sam eggington who fought Paulie said he's not a big puncher but his punches can be sharp and do hurt. He made it as a world champion with minimal power, do half lf you even realise how skillful he is. I've sparred top amateurs and got my ass handed to me, let alone an elite level boxer. There was a show called pros vs joes and Arturo Gatti sparred an amateur heavyweight and stopped him. People don't realise how fast pro boxers can get their punches off.

I trained amateur boxers for the better part of two decades. Sparred with all of them and competed in a dozen or so smokers against other military boxers and some locals. I had the opportunity to spar with a local pro who most would say is a C-class fighter. He was stopped inside of 4 rounds by Soto-Karass. This guy was better than his record would indicate, but his head wasn't in the game. He had a lot of distractions with girlfriend/wife, and he didn't have his priorities in order, but he could fight. He was fast and had power, and during our sparring sessions he basically carry me and held back. If he wanted to, he could have ended it at any time.

I don't have any delusions to think that even on my best day I could ever compete with a pro who is ranked. Yes, I watch some fighters and think, 'Yeah, I could hang with this dude for X amount of rounds" but saying ain't doing, and being in that ring is a whole other story.

I think posters here need to answer this question from within ten or twenty pounds of their weight. Obviously a dude who is 6'5" 260 and has some skill is going to destroy a Flyweight if he can catch him.

I'd have Floyd for a snack, GGG for an Entree and Joshua for desert...no doubt in my mind.

I agree wholeheartedly! It's probably safe to assume the posters fantasizing about such things have never actually stepped into the ring
