I might be better than the average guy on the street but those guys are world class pros and they would destroy me with ease even in my long ago prime. As an amateur army boxer some pro boxers helped us train. I sparred with a pro who was not a star, just an average pro. He was fighting defense and not throwing punches. I couldn't land a solid punch on him. Boxing fans who aren't boxers are just kidding themselves if they think they would do ok against a decent pro boxer their weight.

I've had my ass handed to me by dudes with like 3-14 records but I mean I like my chances more if it wasn't strictly boxing. I don't think this thread is if we could take them in the ring but that we've all had that impression at one point or another where we go "This guy? I think if it came down to it I like my chances.." Maybe because of a size difference or just that they've looked so bad and vulnerable at times that the competitive spirit in you kind of thinks it. I know full well that k9 (for example) looks like the stiffest most awkward brute you can imagine but even *he* has honed a sense of timing, vision, and rhythm that compared to the average guy it would be a massacre in the ring.

I think Paulie is the king of losing fantasy fights even against some of us who have competed before but not at some prolific olympic level. Id like an amateur with 20-30 functional pounds over Paulie outside of the ring...
