Even if the competition is lack luster, the virw rate is always high(non-ppv) and ggg sells out venues. Plus more exposure for hbo saying then showcase top fighters, which ggg and canelo are 2 of the biggest in the sport. Hbo; never take business advice from us fans.

One could say that garbage fights are what got them in this budget pinch in the first place. The UFC lost business when they switched to high-volume, low-quality.
Selling out arenas has no relevance to HBO viewership. If 1.3mill is what their hottest product is pulling in this year, and he can't sell PPVs, then maybe it's time for a change. THAT'S a business perspective.
