If anything boxers greed has more to do with it than promoters. And rightfully so, but fans need to stick by their man. The latest example is Kovalev. He lets a guy who is not all that well known finish a 12 round fight and all of the sudden, he's not that great. Disregard the fact that he scored a shut out of Hopkins a few fights back and the guy who lasted has never been stopped and got dropped hard in the fight.
I don't think folks have turned on Kovalev. You may be putting too much stock in these message boards. The only people that have "turned on Kovalev" are these freaks that basically view him as GGG's personal bodyguard against big-bad Ward. And all they're doing is laying the groundwork to discredit Kovalev if Ward beats him. I don't think thoae freaks represent the majority.

As for, "standing by your man." In my case, that's not possible. Because I'm a bigger boxing fan than I am fan of any particular fighter. I'll use Adrien Broner as an example. When he first kinda broke through as a potential star, I was a huge fan of his. When he lost to Maidana, it was evident to me that he wasn't gonna be an elite fighter. The loss to Porter cemented it. So whether I liked him or not, I think it would be a bit silly for me to still proclaim him a future elite or future star. I didn't flip on him. I just accept reality.

Roach is a great trainer but also a real attention whore. He admitted in the past that neither Pac or his camp talk to him until training starts.

Manny please just stay retired. Crawford is high risk low reward at this point.

Glorification of Mayweather and Pacquiao. Placing them on a level that certain fighters will never reach. Boys, it seems as though the end of an era is nigh.

Roach is a trainer but also act like a promoter.

They are sportmen but also businessmen.

I don't know if Manny can't beat Crawford.

Seems to be tough when it comes to Floyd, maybe Freddy hoping Floyd will age on fight night.

I knew without a shadow of a doubt Roach was gonna say something like this, and prolong, or outright avoid the fight.

Roach isnauch a dumb ****. He makes Pacquiao look so bad with his comments lmao. Hes literally the only trainer that straight up says hes gonna duck a certain fighter, and why, and just makes hos fighter look bad. And he only days these things when it comes to Pacquiao.
