Don't know about the concensus #1 P4P part. Although going up to 122 and beating Rigondeaux would definitely make hime a concensus #1. Anyway, kudos to Chocolatito for doing what real P4P elites do. And that's move up to challenge themselves. Kinda sux that he has to play second fiddle to this joke that they call Gennady Golovkin. But that's just politrix. Do what you do young man.

45-0 and moving up to fight a 35-0-1 champ with steroid questions, he's p4p king for now.

Depends on your definition of P4P King. If you're the type that compiles a list, and whoever is #1, you consider the P4P King. Yeah, he may be to you. But to me, there's a difference between a P4P King and a P4P #1. The P4P King sets himself apart, where there's almost nobody credible that will disagree. Floyd was the P4P King. Manny, in Floyd's absence, was the P4P King. Roy Jones was the P4P King. Sweet Pea was the P4P King. To me, Chocolatito is kinda like Bernard Hopkins was in the immediate aftermath of Roy losing to Tarver. He was #1 on several lists. But he was never the unquestioned P4P King. Several people consider Ward, Kovalev, GGG, Rigondeaux, and now maybe even Crawford the top guy. Chocolatito is far from a consensus #1.

Yeah I get your point and I think I might drop him to 2 if Ward wins. I do think if he knocks out Cuadras we are talking about an all time small man even if he's not transcendent like the guys you said.

Don't get me wrong. He's a very good and deserving #1 if you have him there. If pressed to compile a list, I'd probably have him #3. I think Rigondeaux and Ward are better fighters. But I have no issue with anyone rating him ahead of them. Based on Ward's inactivity. And I think Chocolatito's competition has been better than Rigo's. But that's tough to hold against Rigo. Its kinda hard to hold against Rigo. Kinfa hard for him to get fights.
