Postol was scared to throw a punch. And when Crawford initiated he retreated out of range instead of looking to counter punch. He kept trying to measure distance and if he didn't like what he saw he preferred not to throw at all. When they were in close his instinct was to clinch instead of shorten his shots. Where was the body work and the uppercuts? Dude was flustered and completely neutralized.
And I like Postol. I he takes this L and gets better.
LOL now Crawford is just attacking back, no way did Postol run, only time he ran is when he nearly fell over from getting countered and tried to regain his balance. But he was just plodding forward using the Vitali Klitschko style, while Crawford was on his bike the whole night and trying to counter off the back off. Postol just came forward trying to time the right hand but not throwing jack.
ironically Hectari makes jokes about the May vs Pac bout with his signatures shows you clearly he didn't watch the Crawford vs Postol bout, where Floyd stood in the pocket throughout the fight.
Can't wait for the punch stats of Crawford vs Postol
Lol Crawford only stood his ground when he got Postol hurt. For the majority of the fight he stayed on the outside.
He was using a lot of movement and lateral movement which was forcing Postol to come forward, by doing so took away his height and reach advantage and set up counter shots.
It's also textbook fighting style against excessive clinchers. We hardly saw any clinches because Crawford wouldn't let him do it. I said in another thread, trainers should use this fight tape to train their fighters whenever they are preparing to fight a clincher. This is how it's done. If he would have "stood his ground" the entire fight, it would have been nonstop clinch from Postol.
