Comments Thread For: Marcos Maidana Noncommittal on Ring Return

SAN ANTONIO, Tex.-- From the moment he arrived in town, Marcos Maidana was overcome with fond memories of the biggest win of his career. The former two-division champ was a smash hit in San Antonio just over 2 1/2 years ago, becoming the first to hang a loss on Adrien Broner in their headlining act at the Alamodome, violently snatching his welterweight title in the process.

id favor prime maidana over prime keith thurman.

maidana vs porter would be great.

maidana vs garcia would be great.

maidana vs pacquiao is better than any pacquiao vs bradley fight.

there is money to be made at 147 chino.

"The sequel came four months after Maidana handed the unbeaten pound-for-pound king arguably the toughest test of his career..."

BS. Burton (Augustus) will forever be Floyd's toughest overall test. That dude was eating everything TBE had to throw and kept coming at him.

I hope he stays retired. Supposedly he's never been a guy who loves boxing so much as a guy who's good at boxing & saw it as a way to make a ton of money. He made a ton of money. He should stay out. Him coming back will almost surely end badly for fans who think they will get the Maidana from 2 years ago & more importantly for Maidana himself although granted he will get a check for selling off another chunk of brain cells for his troubles.

Cotto vs Maidana at 154 in December. That would be fun.

The only fight he's interested in now, is to get the front of the queue at the all you can eat diner.

Looks like he might eat the plate and cutlery too the fat bastard

He doesnt have to make weight or take all of the punishment his fans love for HIM to take, he made a great pay day, got to face the best, had a new kid, probably bought a couple of donkeys, so his family is good
