    Mayweahter's Side of the Story

Floyd was supposed to plead guilty last week and in return not face any jail time, then he would come to the Gatti fight and help promote it. His lawyers wanted him to and still does want him to plead guilty or plead no contest. Floyd changed his mind because he still says that he had nothing to do with and wasnt even involved in the assault which led to a man being hit over the head with a champange bottle. He is afraid that if he pleads guilty or no contest then it could lead to a civil suit from the man because he would have already admitted responsibility. He was also reluctant to make a plea deal before the Leija fight because if Leija wouldve won then he wouldve been stuck with a plea deal even though he feels he was innocent. They say everything should be resolved by the end of this week or early next week.

He also has a domestic violence case in Vegas but the case is going to trial and was said to have no effect on stoping a fight between Floyd and Gatti

and my personal opinion about why he didnt come to the Gatti fight is because Gatti didnt come to his like he was suppose to do.

If true then this makes sense, but I was under the impression that the reason he didn't want to plead guilty or no-contest, was because of his other legal problems in the past and he was afraid these new charges could cause some problems with probation or stipulations pending from his previous cases.

O.J. Simpson is innocent, I don't know about Mayweather Jr.

I'm telling you, guys, Gatti is using this legal B.S. to get out of the fight. Gatti does not want to fight Mayweather, although it would mean so much to his legacy if he could win.
