Crawford won because he is a damn good fighter. Being a slick American from the hood as you like to say has nothing to do with it. Why does everything have to be about race with you? Gary Russell Jr. is black and like everybody else he comes from a neighborhood or hood. Gary is fast as hell and slick as hell. Yet Loma, a white Eastern European outclassed and dominated him. So much for your theory that the slick black American always beats the white boxer. Don't forget what that Argentine brawler Maidana did to slick Broner. Good fighters come in all races and colors. The American\Caribbean Slick Style is pretty good but it has had it's problems vs. The Latin Pressure Style. We've seen it in Ray vs Duran, Mayweather vs Castillo, Broner vs Maidana.

Again the style, a punchers chance is all you can hope for because beating that style is extremely difficult.
