Comments Thread For: Roach: Brook Has NO Shot To Beat Gennady Golovkin

Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach believes IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (36-0, 25KOs) is too small to beat middleweight king Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (35-0, 32KOs).

I think Brooks will make it harder than most people think but in the end it will be a KO/TKO for GGG.

Its a personal pet peeve when cats say a guy has no chance to win. Everyone has some chance to win. No one is unbeatable. And everyone can have a great day or a awful day that can equal things out. That said I think most realize Brook's chances aren't good at all & he'll need a really good night & I suspect GGG will need a really bad night on top of that for Brook to come out the winner.

Sure it could happen but it's MORE like MISSION IMPOSSIBLE!!!

He needs to pull a Tanya Harding! Or give him food poisoning the night before. Maybe invite a few nasty STD chicks to his room so he can't stop scratching his junk the next day and pissing burns...

Kell Brook has balls & courage that Saunders and Eubank lack

Kell Brook manned up to face GGG which the scared BJ Saunders and Eubank were afraid to do. Credit to Kell and shame to BJ and Eubie both cowards.

No SHT!!! He's got maybe a 5% chance of winning.

Brook definitely has balls and courage. He also suicidal... Too much weight. I'm just waiting for the under/over odds if he last as long as Khan did???

Roach clearly DKSAB. Brook is too slick for GGG.

That's pretty much what I've been saying. Brook will take a Murray-type strategy, being evasive and having moments of success, but not enough to win rounds. He'll go into survival in rd 5 and get finished in the 7th.

I also hope he wins. Not because I dislike Golovkin or like Brook, but because I don't approve of dominant champs doing this type of BS and would love to see it bite team GG in the ass.
