Why is he complaining? 2 Mill is hell of a lot of money. PLUS if he wins (as he is boasting he will) in the next fight he can command double that amount.

...Hold the phone!!! Don King is his promoter. You think Don is gonna let an extra 6 million of which he would probably get 5 of slip through his pockets?? King said he knew nothing about 8 million. Obviosly it wasn't in the contract.

King might have said a while back that Mayo could get 8 mil for fighting DLH, Mayo took that for gold, then when the contract came it said 2mil, don told mayo he'd get the other 6 mil later. Don has always promised fighters more then what they get. Mayo will fight sat, or else don and DLH will sue him.

Same here. I really thought that Mayo has more than average chance of beating DLH but DAMM this ACT is showing he is not in the right state of mind to pull that victory so I'm pulling out of my BET.

After today's press conference, WBC super welterweight champion Ricardo Mayorga threatened to pull out of Saturday's fight with Oscar De La Hoya unless he is paid $8 million dollars. Although Mayorga signed for $2 million "to lure Oscar into taking the fight," he stated "if I don't get my money, I'm not going to fight. I'm going to make what I deserve....I don't want it to be like the Trinidad fight where Trinidad got all the money." He stated that he was promised eight million and wants to be paid like a champion. Mayorga's promoter Don King said, this is the first he's heard of eight million dollar figure. Mayorga said he would announce later today whether he is fighting or not, "but I'm not fighting unless I get my eight million."

Why did he sign the documents if he is not ammendable to it. He might have a point but it's too late to complain NOW because documents were already signed.
