I know they all fought at 154, but i'm talking about Leonard coming of a long layoff and fighting the undisputed champ and no one criticizes Leonard for having the chance or Hagler for fighting a retired man.

I know all the cry is for ggg, but no one said anything about the opportunities giving to these guys to jump two weight classes and fight the champion.
Someone has an objection of the Tyson performance against Spinks?
Someone has an objection of the Maidana performance against Broner?

While Sturm was facing paper contenders and getting controversial decisions, Golovkin fought tough fighters like Stevens, Rosado and Ishida, all tough fighters, maybe not elite, but the man who you considered the world champion back then, was facing worst opposition than the "regular champ".
Not taking anything away from Sturm, but not recognize the defenses of GGG because Sturm was the super champion, doesn't have logic.

Kell isn't Leonard. Floyd fighting a middleweight would be better example.

That's truth, but he is a champion a good one.

Rosado=0 fights at 160 and had been ko'd by Angulo at 154

Ishida was coming off of back to back losses to Williams and Pirog...WTF?

I do think Spence and Thurman wash him and I might still pick Manny over him.

Who cares , do you even know how Sturm did that? By paying the WBA off! This is from Sturms manager at that time, boxingscene article:

Golovkin had been Sturm's mandatory challenger for years, but he was unable to secure his shot. When Golovkin was finally on the verge of landing that shot, Sturm was mysteriously elevated to the status of "super champion" by the WBA. The status of "super champion" is usually reserved for boxers who unify at least two major titles. Golovkin was eventually made the "regular" champion by the sanctioning body.

When he left Universum, Sturm first approached Oner and was looking for help to find a loophole to prevent a match with Golovkin. Oner put Sturm in touch with a third party. The third party told Sturm that he could pay the WBA a sum of money to make him the "super champion" and prevent the mandatory fight with Golovkin.

The third party went to the WBA with a written request to make Sturm the "super champion."

He secured Sturm's new championship status with a simple written request.

"Felix Sturm, he was with Universum, and when he wanted to leave Universum to be his own promoter - they approached me and they asked me how I could help them not fight Golovkin. So what happened is, I found a guy and spoke to him. And he offered Sturm a deal and said [to Sturm] "we can ask [the WBA] for super champion [status] and then you don't need to fight him.' And that's what happened," Oner told BoxingScene.com.

Rosado is a tough night for everyone he lost to Angulo in his 16 fight, Angulo himself was a really tough cookie for everyone before the legal issues, and yes he was moving up, but like the topic of the thread, anyone has to move up, he lost but if GGG moves up and loss, it doesn't count as a loss because was his first fight at 168?
Ishida himself was fighting Golovkin a year after knocking out the undefeated James Kirkland in one round and losing to Williams and Pirog isn't a shame.
