Khan and Brook took 10/90 fights they will surely lose for the money rather than fight a 50/50 ww fight that if they lose would cost them their spot. They know that losing to a MW will not hurt their standing at WW.
It's completely bogus. This isn't a situation like SRl/Hagler where WW is cleaned out.
Worse, Fat Dan and some other boxing "journalists" whose employers have corporate relationships with HBO are trying to sell the fans on this being the "WW striving for greatness" instead of being honest that its HBO giving us BS mismatches their signed fighters can't lose while waiting for Canelo/GGG.Comment

It seems like Khan is just not interested in fighting Brook. Khan got knocked the f**k out against Canelo but that was expected so he doesn't really get any flack for it.
If Khan were to get knocked out against Brook, it would hurt his pride, his claim to be the top Welterweight from the UK, and it would be more embarrassing.
A lot of boxers are not necessarily scared to lose...they are scared of who they could lose to.Comment

Khan has reportedly made over 10 million dollars v Canelo. He would not have made that much against Brook.
Whatever Brook is getting paid, it's certainly not close to that, so for Brook, the Khan fight would have been more lucrative.Comment
