Pacman-JMM hands down. Trinidad-Mayorga would have overtaken it in my mind if it had two more things:

1) If after about round 4 I would have ever felt like Mayorga could win the fight. It became very lopsided in the later rounds which just doesn't make for fight of the year IMHO.

2) If the fight would have went a few more rounds.

PACMAN VS DINAMITA, was a competitive fight all the way to round No. 12, have you so much close round that the judges, the fans, the sports analyst, boxers could not agree to who really won.....

I can't decide between Pac/Marquez and Tito/Mayorga. Both had great action even though Tito/Mayorga was one-sided El Matador had his moments through out every round excluding the 5th and 8th round of course. Both were more than slugfest. Gatti/Ward 1 and 3 were slugfest. Pac/Marquez was a very skilled battle between two great little men. Tito/Mayorga had me standing up throughout most of the fight and I am a huge Tito fan. I'll go with Tito/Mayorga even though it maybe a biased judgement towards Tito who put on an excellent show of power and accuracy through Mayorga's fire.

Tito-Mayorga fight is an action paced fight but its one sided and being a Filipino I am being biased that best fight of the year PacMan-Dinamita, where are you guys vote and make the right choice, and we will get what we wish for PacMan-Dinamita II.....

Don't worry about that Tracy every year HBO do that on their website. They open up a poll and announced the official winner. I'm sure they will do it again this year and that would be official.

Going back to this thread very seldom we see threads which turns out like this. . . with posters putting up sensible opinions and nobody meshing it up with their thrash (at least until now )

I agree. I've partaken in some mud-slinging of my own and it ruins the taste of the board (wish I had realized that sooner) so I wont be doing that anymore.
