Comments Thread For: Joseph Parker vs. Alexander Dimitrenko Could Be Up Next

A giant sportsman from the old eastern bloc could be next in line to take on Joseph Parker as the Kiwi edges towards a title shot. Solomon Haumono portrayed himself as 'Rocky' while Joseph Parker played 'Apollo Creed' in a promotional clip before their heavyweight clash, and the cinematic connection may soon get another chapter.

Parker is the number 1 contender. Why should he have to fight anyone. Give him a shot Joshua!

Good fight for Parker. Dimitrenko has no heart or stamina when it counts.

Steady progression I think Dimitrenko could maybe give him a problem with his height I would have liked to seen JP target Mansour.

Another gimme fight. Dimitrenko would have been a tough challenge a few years ago, but he's a nothing now. If Parker wants to squeeze in another fight before Joshua he should make it a meaningful one. Pulev would be a decent litmus test if he could get him in the ring.

Damn, Dimitrenko might still be better than Martin or Breazele. Parker should eventually fight David Price as a co-main on Joshua's card.

Smart move ,if he fights anyone in top 5 not sure if he wins. I would favor someone like Pulev to pick apart Parkers defensive holes. I don't believe he and his team think they can defeat Joshua now.I don't see any reason why they would .not sure why ppl still think Joshua is avoiding Parker either when clearly it would be an easy fight for him and easier than Breazeale because Parker is not going to have the distance he had or the defense which Breazeale had it just happened Aj punched right through it and Parkers head straight up style is no match for Joshua now or next year, Joshua continues to improve and it seems Parker is that of a slow crawl in comparison. When the two meet it will show who had the better planning of a pro boxer.

                    not bad

we know he's not going to face anyone who might beat him while he has that IBF mandatory position, but he can at least fight guys who will give him a new look and maybe teach him something, which i think dimitrenko can
