Comments Thread For: Roach Not Concerned With Crawford's Switch Hitting

As Freddie Roach - who trains WBC junior welterweight belt-holder, Viktor Postol - sizes up WBO champion, Terence Crawford, he understands that the native of Omaha is one of the craftier and versatile boxers in the sport but isn't anything he hasn't seen before.

He better be concerned, because Crawford tends to turn the entire fight around when he switches.

Am I the only one who thinks Postol is getting embarrassed come Saturday night?

I'd be a little surprised if that were to happen, though it's certainly possible. If either fighter is able to embarrass the other, it will be a sign of true greatness. I'd welcome that.

I love what I've seen from Crawford, but don't know that much about him pre-Gamboa. Has he fought anyone as tall and disciplined as Postol?

Crawford isn't really a switch hitter. He starts out as an orthodox fighter, gets hit by a few shots, then switches up to southpaw. He stays in that stance for the rest of the fight.

Always prepare for a southpaw with Crawford. Always.
