Is Pacquiao a Vicious Body Puncher?

Morales fought Barrera 3 times in his carreer, but he was never seriously hurt from body blows despite the praise Barrera gets for having a devastating left hook to the body. Morales went 36 rounds with Barrera and he'd have as much as stamina in all those fights in the last rounds as though the effects of the shots were non- existant.

Pacquiao fought Morales for the 1st time last year and got him seriously hurt in the 1st Round and had Morales gasping for breath early in that same Round. (Pac would eventually stop body attacks in that fight)In the 2nd fight, Pacquiao was just beating Morales one sidedly with body shots. Morales was OBVIOUSLY hurt everytime Pac lands a punch on the belly.

I know that 1 fight of Pac demonstrating his work on the body is hard to conclude this, but I've seen him before throw body shots and they were as vicious as how he throws them upstairs. Do you guys think Pacquiao is a vicious body puncher if he throws them?

**** no wonder you have a full red bar..........Maybe I should add to it.Anyway I think Pac is a great body puncher and he showed it in the last Morales fight. He broke him down and finished him off with it.His upcoming fight with Larios I think is going to be a huge body night for him since Larios is so much taller.I am thinking Larios is going to have cracked and sore ribs for months after the fight.

good post. I was about to post the same thing.

In addition, Larios will climb 2 weight classes past his original one to fight Pacquiao. That can only mean that Larios belly should be top priority. His body is going to be weak because of the weight he put on, much like Trinidad dropping Mayorga with body shots when Mayorga chose money over health when he moved up too high at 160lbs.

i think he is a devastating body puncher when he applies the game plan but their are two sides of pacman. which are EM1 and EM2. time is getting close to fight night and i just saw pac on a filipino variety show this weekend, still in the philippines. i think its less than 2 months left for training

True...True..... Yeah I really see very little chance of Larios being able to pull this out.It is going to look funny tho when Pac tries to hit him up high,He may have to jump.

he's a good body puncher when he decides to go to the body. not so much because his technique is good or his understanding of how to break someones body down is sharp...more because of his natural gifts like his handspeed and punching power.

he used effective body punches against morales to gain momentum in the fight and it paid off.

EM2 is definitely better than EM1. Pac had to wear Winning gloves instead of Reyes(even though its a tko, it did made a diffirence) and he had a cut from an accidental head butt.

As far as Larios, Pac better watch out, Larios is hungry to become a superstar like him(Pacquiao).

This will be a good fight, but i am rooting for Pac-Man

the body work is something freddie had him develop over the years as he is going up in weight and having bigger opponents. pac's power was too much 6 years ago and he mainly goes head-hunting right on the opening bell. coupled by a good discipline and training, freddie made him to a very good body puncher and eventually made it a staple in his arsenal

Pacman is a vicious puncher period. He really should go more to the body though since he's always getting tired in the middle of fights. He's just so much energy he needs to suck the energy out of his opponents quicker!
