Not only was it a terrific action packed fight, but it was also hugely significant and that has to play a part.

It was a good fight, but I just don't really see it being a contender for fight of the year. I really can't see Porter being in a fight of the year, just because of how he smothers his work. It gets frustrating to watch, and really slows the tempo of a fight. Anyway, I don't know if people consider it fight of the year because it is considered a tactical fight. I didn't necessarily think it was at that level, myself. Don't get me wrong, some of my favorite fights are the McCallum-Toney series of fights.
