  • Comments Thread For: Frampton: When I Beat Santa Cruz, People Will Really Take Notice

By Thomas Gerbasi - There's nothing like a European Superfight. An arena or stadium packed to the hilt with fans from each fighter's city or country cheering them on, and the stakes as high as they've ever been. Carl Frampton has been there. Frampton biggest accomplishment so far is ducking rigo to avoid being knocked out, his next accomplishment will be being knocked out by panty cruz, his carrer will be basically done after this, if he stays at 126 any live body will ko him, if he goes back to 122 could only fight quigg again and get ko this time, hope he gets a good purse on this fight.

Beat me to it. What amazes me is that on this site, folks b1tch and moan, and b1tch and moan, and b1tch and moan about the top middleweights avoiding GGG (which they do), yet applaud the top jr featherweights for avoiding Rigondeaux. They blast Canelo for dropping a belt to avoid GGG as his mandatory. Yet they're totally fine with Frampton dropping his belt to avoid Rido as his mandatory. Yet, there are no double standards.

Quigg didn't get going to 2nd half. he rocked Frampton a couple of times. If he'd have started earlier he might have won. Frampton got some respect from Quigg but not enough to stop Quigg coming forward. If Frampton couldn't back up Quigg he won't back up SantaCruz. Difficult night for Frampton

Its crazy how after his one off night against Gonzalez everyone thinks Frampton is a bum and has no chance when before he was another real hyped boxer, lol he broke Quiggs jaw and unified the division, yea he ducked Rigo but so did Santa Cruz, and now they are fighting each other which I still think Leo will win and Im rooting for him, but Frampton isnt a bum and whoever wins is going to have to work for it.

This is styliscally a nightmare fight for Frampton. At 126 Santa Cruz will come in the ring at 140 and his size will break Frampton down around 7-8 round. I know Frampton is a good counter puncher but I don't think he has enough power to keep Santa Cruz off of him. Solid fight I'm glad Frampton made this fight
