Comments Thread For: Roach: Crawford Can't Surprise Us; Postol In Tougher Recently

Freddie Roach has spent plenty of time breaking down Terence Crawford fight films and applying what he has learned to Viktor Postol's preparation. There isn't anything the diverse, intelligent Crawford can do, according to Postol's famed trainer, that'll puzzle Postol when they meet Saturday night in a 140-pound championship unification fight at MGM Grand Garden Arena (HBO Pay-Per-View; $59.99 in HD; $54.95 in SD). Postol prepared against left-handed and right-handed sparring partners because Crawford (28-0, 20 KOs), the WBO world super lightweight champion, often switches between fighting from conventional and southpaw stances during fights.

Another Roach prediction that's about to get blown out of the water - Crawford so much more talented than Postol. Postol may have beaten Matthysse but he just clinched the life out of him and frustrated him. Crawford is way too smart to be manhandled that way. It'll be a good fight but a clear UD for Bud.

Roach is pretty much a jinx to all of his fighters at this point when he talks to the media.

I don't even know why they're making a big deal of this Crawford adjusts in his fights doe. Everyone is. It's nothing new, as Roach says. Which is why they have coaches in their corners, figure how to adjust after each round. Of course, they have their respective styles of adjusting.

Is it me, or is this fight not PPV material?

These kinds of fights used to be on regular cable. Times have changed. Networks' budget is not keeping up with the fighters' greed.

Simply put, fight won't happen if it's not on PPV.
