Canelo was holding a world title in the same division as Golovkin and GGG was his mando. That meant that Canelo had no right whatsoever to try and use weight to weaken Golovkin.
And he didn't even offer to fight him at a catchweight anyway. Probably too scared he might accept it.
nah, that's just your " convenient " revisionist fanboy spin
1) Canelo dumped that ****, and said "I will fight you at 155 tomorrow"
2) But Golovkin was either unwilling, or unable, to back up his big mouth and fight Canelo at 155 like he promised
He ducked Canelo at 155, just like he ducked Ward at 168.
Sanchez has verified that K2 NEVER asked Ward for a catchweight. Saying "50/50 money and weight would be fair" during an interview with a journalist is not the same as saying "We will only go up to 164" during negotiations for a fight.
You will keep peddling your bullshit though, whether through ******ity or a biased agenda, only you know.
They didn't ask for anything. They told Ward that Golovkin was focused on 160, and if he wanted to fight him at 168 he should come back to them in 2017, because they weren't moving up till then.
..... and then, a few weeks later..... they called out Froch at 168

You missed the bit where GGG said he wanted 50/50 split and 164, everything halfway in the middle.
I think they're going to unify the middleweight division first. They're still thirsty for that Canelo fight but they'll have to give up on it by 2018 if it still hasn't come together.
Ward has his plate full at the moment. But if he beats Kovalev then he is going to actively want to pursue the GGG fight again as it's the biggest fight to make. Maybe Ward will get Stevenson if he beats Kovalev, or vice versa.
Stevenson is ripe and ready to either get blasted out by Kovalev or have his head boxed off by Ward.
I don't think he will EVER mention lil'G again
except maybe laughing at him in the odd interview
you guys can run with your spin, but Ward was there..... he knows whats up, and he knows that fight will never happen
Hopefully Saunders or whoever that last belt has will step into the ring with GGG and we have a unified champion. Unifying all the belts, breaking BHops record and the moving up, pretty sure GGG will move up before Hopkins, who only moved up after he lost to Taylor at age 40.
^This is what I believe will happen. Become undisputed, break Hopkins' record, move up to 168, in that order.

Still defending Canelo huh? I guess the hype man was sleeping when Canelo was doing all that ducking. Here's hoping you get up to speed there, hype man.
