I'm not quite sure why supposed boxing fans would call any fighter a coward, seems a strange way to show your appreciation of the guys that get punched to entertain us, but maybe that's just me.

They dont get punched to entertain us. They get punched for those handsome paychecks.

To even suggest that Floyd Mayweather is a coward is ludicrous. We may not like him on a personal level but Floyd walks to walk. He's beaten everyone put in front of him, 99% of them convincingly. Actually it's kind of silly to call any professional boxer at his level a coward. Just stepping into a ring and facing guys at that level requires a great deal of courage. Let's give the guy credit. He is one of the greatest in the sport.

Yes, he's no coward. He just loves to hug. That's just a boxer showing his love and affection for others. Agree.

Floyd Mayweather may be a woman abuser, he may be arrogant and disrepectful at times but he is in no way, shape or form a "COWARD"

Definition of coward: "a person who is contemptibly lacking in the courage to do or endure dangerous or unpleasant things."

How many of you brave people calling Floyd a coward would have the guts to step into the ring and defeat 23 world champions? Most of the people calling him a coward wouldn't even fight an amateur, let alone have 49 professional fights.

Floyd Mayweather is one of the greatest boxers of this generation.

I'm sure the "coward" accusation means he was cowardly compared to other fighters. Comparing him to the average guy is pointless.

He definitely cherry picked his way through the sport. Sure, he fought some and even great fighters, but he sidestepped a lot, too. And I believe he admitted it.

Guys like James Toney, Roberto Duran and Muhammad Ali will never be called cowards. They literally would fight anybody. That's the difference.
