How many rounds does Kell Brook last?

Is there any chance Brook lasts the distance against Golovkin? If not, what round do you see him getting stopped?

Vote in the poll, tell me how you think it plays out.

Not sure whether it makes any difference to your assessment of his durability but Brook fought at MW in 2008, weighed in at 155lbs in a 6 rounder, stopped his opponent in 3 rounds.

GGG CAN knock him out inside four. I believe he will manage the pace so he finishes in 10 rounds or so, to make it appear more competitive.

I thought about this, but commercially it doesn't make any sense for Golovkin. He needs to hit the UK with a ****, live up to his reputation so that people will pay to see him again. A drawn out affair or carrying his opponent doesn't achieve this.

I think Brook goes 3 rounds at the top end, Brook was hurt by Senchenko at 147 and didn't look very impressive at JMW v Carson Jones. First time he gets cracked hard... might be all over from there.

In saying that, there's an argument (and it is only an argument) that Brook is the best pure boxer Golovkin has faced and for that reason it will go rounds, but while it may be true, I don't personally believe it will spare him beyond 3 rounds, personally I'd be kind of shocked to see him still there in the 6th.

I'm interested to hear what others think.

3 rounds or less, he doesnt have the speed or movement to steal rounds and his chin is far from granite

I think business wise it's more interesting to show a competitive fight, that they can market as FOTY candidate or something.
It's a pity, we all know GGG is going to win easily, but at least he can make some noise to finally become the "A-side" needed to make fights with the other cowards in the MW division.

That's what I'm thinking. Even though he's terribly out-gunned, Kell seems intelligent enough to do what he has to do to hang in there for at least half the fight. I don't see him just putting himself in situations where he's going to get blasted like many previous opponents have. I think he'll play it a little more like Murray did and be somewhat evasive while occasionally landing good, "keep him honest" shots to keep GG from getting too aggressive.
Sooner or later though, fatigue and consequence are going to catch up with him. TKO 7

That would be a disaster if he had a FOTY candidate with Kell ****ing Brook

So you're admitting this is so much of a mismatch that GGG will carry the opponent to make it competitive, like WWE wrestling?

There isn't even that much between them in height and reach but with Brook we're just full of unknowns really in terms of fighting a 160 beast like GGG, with a couple months notice and jumping two full divisions. Golovkin comes forward and has proven he even fancies taking a few shots coming in to see what his opponent is capable of. Brook is not going to hurt him IMO. Gennady is strong as hell and will be around 170 in the ring.

In Brooks favor, he is a big welter, which perhaps will allow him to ask more questions than say, so many other welters at the moment would even be able to. It's just the disparity - welter, middleweight, will still be there regardless. And moving up like this is never easy, for any fighter. What happened to Adrien Broner in recent memory, for instance?

Having said this, Brook will be one of the better opponents on Gennady's resume so far, as a matter of fact, but whether this will be a very good or even remarkably competitive fight is just difficult to say. As for your specific question Weebs, I have GGG stopping Brook round 8 as a guess.
