Arreola quit. He stopped fighting, stepped back and dropped his hands. That moment when Wilder stepped in and almost knocked his eye out. That was when Arreola said this isn't going to work. He went into survival mode, then punching bag mode after that. He didn't quit in the ring, but in his mind.Comment

Arreola would have won if he were hypnotized right before the fight for him to picture Wilders fist were vegetables and wilder head a big piece of broccoliComment

Arreola was indeed a safe yet 'name' choice by Team Wilder, another well calculated step from their side in the midst of the Povetkin debacle. They needed a low risk opponent but a guy like Duhaupas proved to be more worthy than the faded Arreola. Nothing much to take from this fight in any shape or form, stay busy.Comment

Beating Arreola from pillar to post is not easy.
It takes a Vitali to do that.
Wilder had an easy night, but it's hard to tell if it was because we had a great HW in Wilder or a shot fighter in Arreola.

Credit to Arreloa for giving respect to Wilder and making no excuses. I wonder if Wilder will be out for the remainder of the year after his surgeries.Comment
