Comments Thread For: Thurman on Board, Willing To Face Pacquiao in The Fall

If Manny Pacquiao needs a dance partner for the fall, WBA welterweight champion Keith 'One Time' Thurman (27-0, 22KOs) is ready to fill that slot. Thurman took part in a Fight of The Year battle last month, winning a close twelve round unanimous decision over former IBF chmapion Shawn Porter at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Not Tryna see pacquiao chase a bigger man down. BORINGGGGG! Especially the Lion who's already self entitled beyond any champion with real experience. I think manny could still whoop his ass, but I'm done watching people run from a little dude, gone are the days that people would dare stand in front of Pacquiao. My fav fight is cotto vs pacquiao... I was there and man... I wanna see it again lol

This is a good fight because Thurman can move and punch going backwards. I don't see Pacquiao taking this fight because it's all wrong for him. Besides Thurman has some descent power.

Boxing is so backwards and badly run that Arum will make offers to guys that won't fight Pacquiao (Marquez, Broner, Garcia) and then plump for a guy no-one wants (Vargas), whilst ignoring the guy who DOES want the fight (and would be awesome) - BTW I'm gonna go ahead and assume this isn't just empty posturing from Thurman - though let's face it, who would be surprised if Keith's bluff was called and he over-priced himself?

This sport is so maddening (yes, I know I'm getting annoyed at stuff that hasn't even happened yet).

If this fight happens, Pac will batter Thurman all over the ring.

Props to Thurman but I can't see Top Rank taking this fight. Way too dangerous. Makes more sense to keep it in-house but hey, stranger things have happened.
