Comments Thread For: Rigondeaux Warns: If You Want Your Jaw Ripped Out - I'm Here!
The eagerly-anticipated UK appearance of WBA super-bantamweight king Guillermo Rigondeaux (17-0, 11KOs) lasted just two rounds as James ****ens was forced to retire with a broken jaw.
Somehow this has gone from a dull 2 round fight in which 1 great punch (on of the few he actually threw) caused a guy to quit between rounds, to; now he's ripping jaws out...
Rigo is very talented but this fight was still a snoozer. Even the dramatic part lacked any excitement.

Nobody seems to notice that Rigs kept his word, and stood right in front of the guy damn near the whole time. When Rigs moved forward, ****ens often retreated. Rigs is more a counter puncher. It isn't natural for him to take the lead, so he should probably be matched with guys who aren't boxer movers like ****ens. Put him in with guys who are more brawling types.

jazza wanted no parts..we need more ppl to go all amagasa vs rigo...until then blame the opponent like he said..they feel the power and their brain tells their bone structure "i dont want to deal with another break"

Oh, you're right! It was very entertaining. How could I have not understood that??
I have tremendous respect for his skill, I study his style, but he's doomed to obscurity because he's not the least bit entertaining, even in a quick tko victory. It's all his choice. It keeps him winning in the ring, but losing as a once potential star.

Did you read what I typed? He stood in front of the guy, He didn't even box and circle around. He stood in front and the guy didn't do anything.
