Looks like Arreola has gotten the short end of the stick. Arreola stated previously that he didn’t know or care what he was getting paid. This proves true with this purse. We can only hope he fairs well in this fight tonight.

Why TF is wilder getting 1.4mil to fight a guy anyone would have a chance of KO-ing at the bus station. Also no way 150k is worth if for Arreola his take home is only going to be 70-75k for what most likely will give him brain damage in 20yrs. It's easy for fans to say someone should pass on world championship because of money because most of us have no idea the long physical and emotional struggle a boxing career is, especially chasing a title and always coming up short. He literally cried after losing to Klitschko, it's obviously important to him and he's repeatedly said he wanted to become the first Mexican American heavyweight champion, it's about pride and fulfilment.

You have to remember he's never been champion. It's not like in lower weight classes where it's almost comical how easy it's become to win titles. It's a lot harder at Heavyweight if you aren't one of the elite or get extremely lucky like Charles Martin.

Yep there aren't divisions to move up or down(especially if you are a big heavyweight). Arreola has no money at all based on the interview I saw before the Stiverne fights. He thought he was going to have some superstar championship career and make big $ because he's a latino HW, started buying everyone cars and ****. Has zero now.

He's taking what he can get at this point.
