My thoughts on Floyd/Hatton

Like another poster said, Hatton needs floyd more than floyd needs hatton.Originally posted by Miagi1Floyd is the best in the business, just like before him it was Roy, and before him Leonard, and before him Ali, and before him Robinson
Floyd cannot afford to make the same mistake as Roy did, avoiding the best come-forward fighters of his era (Benn, Collins, Michalczewski). Hatton can be his Duran, his Frazier, his LaMotta
So please, Floyd, don`t avoid Hatton. Do everything you can to make a Hatton fight as soon as possible, because you need him
The only thing that Hatton is willing to do that Dariusz and others werent is to come over to the US. I give him more credit then any of them for that.Comment

This is why the Floyd/Hatton fight is so mouth-watering, cos millions of Floyd fans who think Floyd is superman are gonna be standing there with their mouths open, Calzaghe/Lacy style, when Pretty-boy is sprawled on the canvas trying to remember his own name.....or millions of Hatton fans are going to be screaming at their screens as Floyd picks off Hatton at will and gives him a thorough boxing lesson.....it will all depend on who exerts their game-plan. It's a fascinating match-up.Originally posted by PBF34The only thing that Hatton is willing to do that Dariusz and others werent is to come over to the US. very fascinating fight.
i've seen enough of floyd over the years to give him the benefit of the doubt, but hatton sure is a live underdog. he has herky jerky speed that no one really talks about. he's very fast, especially considering his style.Comment

I, like many here (in the US) haven't seen Hatton fight. He needs to build a rep here to fight mayweather. its funny gatti was mentioned because i was thinking that if gatti would fight hatton he definately has the fan base that could take to Hatton.
As far as establishing himself here i think that would be a big step. Or am i wrong in some regard? Is that a fight not possible?Comment

it has basically been decided already that the fight will be december this year or very early in 2007.
Of coarse this is nowhere near official, but thats when Mayweather said he would fight Hatton, and thats when Hatton said he would fight Mayweather
And i see Hatton winning by KO... in the first round. HAHAHA. naaa... i'll give mayweather 9-10 roundsComment

GATTI's to old to fight Hatton. And Gatti probably wouldnt even want to do that fight. Neither would Hatton. I dont see it ever happeningComment

Gatti's not afraid to face anybody for the right money...one thing he's not is a fight dodger. He's a true warrior. It'll be great watching Hatton smash him to pieces.Originally posted by kfootball15GATTI's to old to fight Hatton. And Gatti probably wouldnt even want to do that fight. Neither would Hatton.
