Comments Thread For: Hearn Explains Why Golovkin vs. Brook is NOT Canelo-Khan

New York - Another day comes and another British welterweight moves up two weight classes to fight a middleweight champion. Kell Brook (36-0,25 KO's) is doing what his countryman Amir Khan did in May when he took on Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez at a catch-weight of 155-pounds.

Since when was Brook the best Welterweight in the world? Fighting one top guy in 12 years makes you the best at welterweight it seems.

Hearn says Khan is chinny and is a lightweight while Brook is really a rugged jr middleweight. Watch, as soon as this shyster goes to make Khan vs Brook next year his story will be that both are brave British warriors and this is the definition of a 50/50 matchup.

Well he's right what he says. People do call out fighters for not taking a risk and when they do, they slate the fight.

However, i do hope GGG moves up in weight to fight some bigger guys. If he has no problem bringing another guy up in weight, then he should have no qualms being on the other side and moving up in weight himself.

As for Brooks team, if they lose then after all this talk there should be no excuse. Khan's camp were saying he is a much better fighter at 155, then afterwards they said he was too small for Canelo. Well which is it? at the end of the day though, Khan couldn't even take a punch at lightweight so we all knew how that was going to turn out. After all this talk, Kell and his team should have no excuses.

Lol a lot of boxing fans are phuckin babies. Lol I mean here we have fighters risking their lives and we complain about crazy match ups but then when we have match ups like Salka vs DSG.... Yea, I'll take this over That type of card. It's like in fight night the game, see how far you can get with manny pacquiao when you face Robinson at middleweight, not sure if we will win, but it's pretty cool to see someone try. Pacquiao beat a bigger margarito who weighed 17 pounds more so who knows what Kell Brook can do. I like that match up, those complaining are just haters at heart.

Comparing Brook to Pacquiao and Golovkin to Margarito.

You're right you've had these fights for forever where a guy jumps weight classes. It's not like ggg the first to do this and he's only doing it because no mw has the balls to fight.

What a load of bollocks. He only tried to get Canelo, Eubank and Brook. He didn't even try to get guys like Lara, Charlos, Jack or De gale instead of the welterweight. Cherry pick.
