Comments Thread For: Deontay Wilder-Chris Arreola: Strengths vs. Weaknesses Analysis

Until about five years ago, Deontay Wilder (36-0, 35 KOs) would have been custom-made for Chris Arreola (36-4-1, 31 KOs). But at this juncture in their respective careers, the opposite is the case.

Wouldn't be surprised if Arreola staggers or drops Wilder. Doubt he can finish him though. That distinction will come when Wilder fights either Povetkin, Fury, Wlad, Joshua, Ortiz. This should be an interesting fight though, for as long as it lasts.

The only thing I don't get is, why would Arreola say he doesn't know how much he's making for this fight? Is it a sliding scale based on performance? Or what? Something just doesn't sound right here. Kinda fishy if you ask me.

Wilder's defensive lapses stems from that fact of his reluctance to clinch. He should take a page out of Wladimir Klitschko's playbook, by learning the science of clinching, when his shorter opponents are on the inside and too close to him. This would help protect his chin and overall defense.

How that tall bum can ever speak about hypocrisy ??
Look what kind of opponent he's fighting ???
GOLOVKIN - BROOK is a far better fight than that mismatch.
            WHAT A JOKE !

Wilder is getting self conscious about his legs, no shorts. I don't blame him. His weaknesses are his wheels, go for them instead of his head.
