every fighter does things for the money, still takes balls going over and risking it all on someones home patch against a young hungry undefeated fighter

Recently I remember hearing of a fighter getting called all sorts of racist names in England during the ring walk. Totally spacing out though on the fight.

Other than that though I agree; boxing fans for the most part are great there and the atmospheres are amazing in the big fights.
Do you remember which fight that was? You're sure you're not talking about russia?

Nah, definitely England. There was also the Dmitriy Salita fight, that was pretty nasty:

The rabbi who accompanied boxer Dmitriy Salita to his fight against Amir Khan has expressed his shock at antisemitic abuse levelled at the Orthodox boxer and his supporters.

During the fight an Orthodox man was assaulted and abuse was hurled at Salita as he made his way to the ring.
The man from Manchester suffered a cut face when a drinks can was hurled at him along with antisemitic abuse during the Salita boxing match.

“After 76 seconds it was all hell let loose,” said the 45-year-old who wore a kippah to the fight.

“Four guys were being held back by their friends from jumping on me. They were really surging to get me with hate on their faces. They were shouting f---ing ***, any swear word you can think of and making any gesture you can think of. I've never been so frightened in my life. ”

“Some of the crowd were very friendly, but others were snarling. I didn’t report the incident to the police, I just wanted to get home."

“We were shocked at the vitriolic abuse shouted at Dmitriy from both sides of the throng on the walkway to the ring.

“It was antisemitic swearing and spitting with a lot of pushing and pulling they were baying for him at this point, although the general crowd was good-humoured and calm.

"Dmitriy was stunned but not hurt, we returned to his hotel and he was visited by a large crowd of supporters, well into the night. As it was a significant day in the Lubavitch calendar, Dmitry showered, put on fresh clothes and his tzitzes and we learned into the night"

That doesn't sound anything like the typical UK boxing fan. Anti-semitism isn't big here (not that I've seen anyway). If anything, that sounds like a bunch of rabid Khan supporters who are more than likely ******, and have an axe to grind with ***s.

GGG talks sense. If fighting outside your backyard was easy everyone would do it. The ref might help brook and penalise GGG and get warnings for hitting brook on the chin like refs used to do against Sven ottke.

It is interesting that's why sold out fast it will be good while it lasts

Think Kelly Pavlik vs Hopkins but wayfar worse for Kell Brook

The moron who put Pavlik in with Hopkins ruined Pavliks career at an early age as Hop destroyed Pavlik and Pav's confidence in a great beating. Kell Brook will be stretched out cold mid ring like Khan was with Canelo. Great challenge for Kell but dumb as Hell.
