Why did Arum go after the 2 most hated & B-level PBC welterweights?

Spence.- Probably not a big enough name yet

Broner- Only decent win at welterweight is Paulie. A headache. Has lost to Porter and Maidana. Garcia could probably beat him. Thurman, Vargas, Bradley, and Spence would beat him

Garcia- Beat Paulie and a washed Guerrero. His father is known for looking for easy fights. He's admitted it on video. Many people pick Vargas, Thurman, Porter and Bradley to beat him.

Porter- Never turns down a fight. Will fight anybody, anywhere, anytime. Beat Broner. Close fight with Brook and Thurman. Coming off 3+ mil views on TV. The most watched boxing match of the year

Thurman- Probably the best welterweight right now (until we see what Spence can really do). Just came off a huge win for him against Porter. Will beat Garcia and Broner in the same night. Coming off 3+ mil views on TV. And he called Manny out:

    Porter
    14.29%

    Broner

    Thurman

    Spence

    Garcia

I love how people pretend Dannny didn't fight Khan, Lucas, Peterson, Guerrero, Paulie, Campbell, Holt and Morales.

Danny vs Manny would be fine.

Both are somewhat notorious and the fans would love to see Manny beat either of them. I would. Pac is old, I don't need to see him take the most dangerous fights. That kind of thing never appealed to me. Like these guys wanting Floyd to unretire at 40 and fight a 160lber. No thanks, he already proved himself.

Both closer to Pac's size, very winnable fights. If he comes back he's not going to make a run to clean out 147, he'll be coming back for a paycheck or two, not to prove he's still the best in the world or anything like that. He's old, past prime, doesn't have much left, we don't need to see him against big dangerous guys anymore.

Welterweight is very overrated. They're all b-level, so why not go after the most hated? At least it would be an interesting build-up.

I'd prefer to see him fight Khan for as long as it lasts.

Sure Brook would have taken a Pacquiao fight over Golovkin.

Broner & Garcia probably bring in the most PPV for Pac, plus he has the best chance to win against either according to most

Spence is a big prime WW, he is essentially still unknown and a huge risk. Thurman poses a massive threat and while being in the most watched fight in 2016 and 2nd most watched in 2015 his crossover appeal isnt as established as Broner or Garcia.

No reason to put in Porter no name recognition and he lost his last fight
Plus I'd think Bob wouldn't want Manny to deal with Porters size and aggresivness for 12 rounds

Biggest financial upside with least amount of risk means Danny & Broner would be Arums first choice
