I feel like its been forever since I've seen Stevenson in a credible fight. He had great buzz after his fighter of the year but i think its getting squandered. I was a fan but don't really see any excuse for his career choices lately.

Wow this dude is something, I hope he gets iced and stops holding back the division. Following his HUGE fights against Bika, a super middleweight, and Tommy f***ing Karpency last year, he has lost all credibility. Dawson obviously wants to get knocked out again lol.

Stevenson is a duck, a clown, and a fraud.

Kovalev would have ended his pathetic career.

Don't be a puppet under the strings of Kathy Duva's fishnets.

Sullaiman (we be crooks president) explained the whole situation.

He said that they made Kovalev the mandatory and ordered the purse bid so that the fight between Stevenson and Kovalev can be made, but you already know this so let's move on to what happened after Kathy Duva and Kovalev ducked their own purse bid.

Following that scandal, Sulaiman explained that he continued to leave the mandatory position vacant even after Kova and Duva ducked the purse bid so that Stevenson's schedule would not be a hindrance for the negotiations for the Kova-Adonis showdown.

However, after continuously failing at getting the deal done by the two parties, eventually he had to order a mandatory, which is now Alvarez.

This is the reason Stevenson hasn't had mandatories up until now, hence the sub par competition, coz they were all stay busy fights for the Kovalev showdown which never happened.

This is the same thing that yawl complained about with Mayweather and Maidana. The wbc prez allowed Floyd to defend both the 147 and 154 wbc titles against Maidana so that Floyd's schedule would be clear - so that the MayPac showdown wouldn't have any hindrances from the wbc's side.

They took a hit for the fans, yet it is those very same fans who **** all over them. Sure, the tactic failed with the Stevenson-Kova situation, but that wasn't their fault, they did what they thought was right for the sport.

It's not the system that is corrupt but the people in it. Just look at what Cotto and Canelo did? Can you really blame we be crooks for those *******'s actions? Or For Kova hiding under Duva's skirt during the mandatory-purse bid situation.

However, they should learn their lesson with this diva's, particularly with the Canelo-Cotto situations. No more voluntaries just for the sake of marinating, but then the fact that they allowed Stevenson and Alvarez to have tune ups shows that perhaps they have not learned the lesson, and also the fact that they allowed Povetkin to postpone the fight with Wilder not once, but twice, only for the puss to test positve when the showdown was finally about to go down, also shows that they haven't learned their leasson.

Too bad Stevenson couldn't land Hopkins or Ward when they were relevant. Stevenson was the man @ 175, but he's slowed down a step. I want to see what he looks like against Williams.
