Comments Thread For: Hearn: Win Or Lose We Still Want To Make Brook vs. Khan

New York - Kell Brook (36-0, 25KOs) has been longing for a big fight. However to get that big fight he had to jump up two weight classes to fight the best middleweight in the world in Gennady Golovkin. Brook had longed for a fight with his UK rival, Amir Khan (31-4, 19KOs).

you can hate on GGG for bringing up a fighter basically one division below him (under original weight class) but you cant hate on Kell Brook for taking this fight.

same with Khan taking on Canelo.

seems like the brits have more balls (brexit, khan brook going up in weight to fight guys) than american fighters right now who are steady ducking fighters left and right overpricing themselves (broner/garcia)...

    question is,

Will Fury step up and fight Wilder? or vice versa...

but Brook said he is a natural "160lb'er" now, shouldn't he be gunning for Eubank Jr and BJS?

I wish DeGale would phone Eddie and say "Get me Golovkin". Then again why would he when's getting paid as much in hedge fund money to fight journeyman like Medina in front of massive crowds of 3,000 in Washington DC.

No one fighter will get sympathy from taking a fight all people know is gonna lose. There's weight classes for a reason. GGG will never jump from middleweight to light heavyweight, he hasn't even jumped to super middleweight yet.

This is a ****** fight, plain and simple. Brook just doing it for the money and GGG too.

Don't you think that Golovkin would just tell him that it has to be at 164 or no fight?

But....but.....Kell is a natural middleweight and it's too hard to make 147....That's until he gets knocked out then he'll easily make 147 again

This is the real reason Brook took the GGG fight, to land the lucrative Amir Khan fight. Unfortunately he might never recover from the GGG knockout and might become delicate whiskers as well. Serious beatings can affect fighters and if he is banking on Khan's chin problem he might be surprised.

Is it balls or lack of sense or desire for cents?
