Yep, this is the truth. They paid Manny 20m and Bradley 6.5m and lost a crapton of money on the bomb of a PPV. Those are not my words, that was Arum. Arum realized that he can't do that anymore, so you're gonna see offers of ~5M for Pac fights, something like 12/5 or 15/5 at most. They're budgeting for 300K PPVs to break even.

Garcia should take it. The money is more than he's making now and it's a chance to add Manny eff'n Pacquaio to your resume. If he passes this offer, he's a complete idiot and I'll lose all the respect for him.

No way arum putting Pac with Spence. He's still a contender and not a champion yet and they're trying to sell ad much ppv as possible since the last ppv bombed and Pac name alone can't carry a ppv.

I do think Spence would beat Pac though too big too strong.

You'd have to define "Pac's opponents." They aren't all the same. Garcia is ascending, Pacquiao's options are slim. $3-4m might not be worth the risk for Danny at this point.

The only one that got more than $3-4mil was cotto, Bradley, Marquez and Mosley. Marquez only got $5mil in the 4th pac fight. That's not a huge difference from $3-4mil. A lot of people on here believes Danny can beat pac.

so danny passed on floyd first and now pac, i like him as a fighter , he has one of the best resumes among young fighters, but you dont pass on a fight if there is a chance for stardom...

Hunger and determination gets fighters to the top, but complacency and delusion keeps them from reaching (and surpassing) their potential. It's no wonder boxing lacks stars when the next generation (ie. Broner, Garcia, etc.) is reluctant to face someone of Pac's caliber. If Pac gives any young guy the opportunity to put him on his resume, it should be accepted immediately.
