The WBA is very busy lately, however they are mandating 2 fights that no one wants to see: Andrade vs. Culcay and Thurman vs. Avanesyan! Both fights are tailor made for Spike TV!

This is an example of when it's OK to drop a belt. If Thurman was to vacate the WBA title for a fight with Cotto or Bradley, I would totally understand his position!

Hopefully Thurman gets this fight outta the way ASAP; put Thurman/Avanesyan and Garcia/Berto on the same card. This could be the moment they start building towards Garcia/Thurman.

Sad part is, is I don't think Thurman as the kind of coward most of haymons guys are.

I think he wants real competition, real fights, I think he's one of the few on haymons stable that wants to leave a legacy.

Dude, it's been known for some time that Avanesyan was going to be ordered for Thurman. I'm starting to think that you don't really follow the sport closely and just like to bash Haymon constantly regardless of the facts.

The matchup sucks but One Time has to get this WBA requirement out of the way so he can move on to bigger things. At least "he'll be staying active" as all the Lil G groupies like to say.
