    Comments Thread For: The Rigo has landed; Guillermo-****ens make weight

    There were no surprises on the scales in Cardiff today when the title fighters on tomorrow night's Frank Warren-promoted bill at the city's Ice Arena weighed-in ahead of their bouts.

      Why is it so hard to find the fighters purses for this fight?

        Rigondeaux is ripe to be beaten. He didn't look good and almost got stopped against Amagasa in round 7

          Nah.

          He got knocked off balance and pushed down, he utterly battered Amagasa for the remainder of the fight. The fight got stopped with Amagasa looking like this;

          He's definitely getting old and will become more beatable with every passing fight, but the Rigondeaux from that fight still beats anyone around that weight.

            This was a clear push down after being knocked off balance?

            He's not holding on for dear life here either

                Rigo needs to get a sharp KO out of this fight to get the ball rolling for another big fight. The Donaire fight feels like a really long time ago now.

                He's only getting older, but Rigo is still one of the greats, I hope to see him vs. Lomachenko before it's too late.

                  Yeah, he's quite clearly off balance on the 1st knocked down and pushed down in the 2nd.

                  He's stepping out and get's barely grazed with an arm punch, it knocks him down. He beat Amagasa to a pulp the rest of the fight.

                    I'm not questioning that he beat Amagasa for the rest of the fight, but in round 7 clearly Rigondeaux was hurt and almost stopped, to say otherwise would be daft. Clearly he was dropped with a clean right hand, got up, was hurt and held on for dear life.

                    People want to act like this never happened. I like Rigondeaux a lot as a fighter but the guy is ripe to be beaten.
