fast forward some years and now he is the lineal and wbc light heavyweight champion of the world with 6 defenses

While champion he has defeated Bellew who recently won a title at cruiser, former super middleweight champion Bika, Tavoris Cloud a former titleholder, and has been a good champion

people label him a duck, i just never looked into the situation, I just know Stevenson/Kov never happened

If Stevenson gets past Williams, I want to see him face the winner of Kov/Ward ASAP

Stevenson is the hardest puncher in the division. He is the consistent boxer puncher that Kov is nor the technician that Ward is but he does bring a combination of athleticism, speed and true one power that could put them both out

Neither can say they are the man at 175 until they beat Stevenson
Boone said Kovalev is the better fighter

Stevenson is the hardest puncher is he? Didn't stop Bika, Fonfara & Cloud quit on his stool! Took him 12 to stop Don George (Truax did him in 6).. Umhh!

I think Beterbiev is personally but as for those two.. Stevenson's power is explosive, but he has to put FULL FORCE behind his left hand to score KO's.

Kov is like a 175 version of Foreman in a sense that his hands are just FREAKISHLY heavy. He hits guys with shots that don't look like they have anything on them, and guys drop. He just has a sheer force in his hands that's pretty rare. Stevenson Requires More WIND UP, More TORQUE on His Shots, whereas Kovalev has BADLY Hurt &/or Dropped Guys w/what Seemed to Be ARM Punches... Stevenson night be the hardest single punch fighter of the two but not sure if he hits as hard as Kovalev in general. Kovalev knocked a guy out with a jab to the body.

Also, Darnell Boone said Kovalev hit harder & Earl Newman who sparred Kov & Stevenson said Kovalev hits harder too? Id take them over you..

Kov didnt stop a 30 year old hopkins or chilemba

He is an accumulative puncher...Stevenson has more one punch kayos and knocks people silly

kov knocked out a no name with a jab....many fighters have...thats nothing to right home about...shane mosley has, so has mayweather, and many others.

Im not saying either is the better fighter but imo Adonis is the harder one shot guy

you are not gonna ko everyone...like I said imo stevenson has better one punch power....Kov is the better technical puncher, straight consistent shots

Kovalev was hurt from a Chilemba body shot. Was exposed on several points.

Bika has never been stopped in his career either. Same as Chilemba and Hopkins

Using Fonfara is not really a good example either. Stevenson dropped him in the first round with a shot that he saw coming and partially blocked with his gloves.

I'd take Bellew with a pinch of salt when talking about Kovalev or Stevenson.

Bellew and Cleverly were actually arguing on Ringside once about which of them got beat up by the better guy..Stevenson or Kovalev.

Bellew chose Hopkins to beat Kovalev as he said he was the easiest option out there available for him. After the fight, he said Hopkins is old and hasn't be fighting at a good pace for years.

He tends to say what suits him at that given moment.

Kovalev is younger, has better stamina, power in both hands, throws a wide variety of punches.

How anyone can seriously favor Stevenson is beyond me.
I agree that his offensive arsenal is very limited, but he hurt Fonfara several times to the body and dropped him with a body shot.
