Think you'd be happy he picked your countryman.

Hearn already had a date and a venue secured, already had all the details of a deal structured, even had another undefeated boxer that he could offer up on a day's notice.

The fight is a joke but it was an obvious solution to a messing situation. I can see why they went with it, still sucks but I understand why.

God I wish there was a way to ignore you completely and not see your idiotic 'Murrica' threads. Can't you go camp out at a Trump rally for a few months or something?

K2 only signed Brook because Hearn presented it as an alternative to Eubank, with the exact same lucrative deal in place in the UK. Certainly wasn't a desired opponent for Golovkin, not even top 5 or probably top 10.

Funny thing is though if Spence keeps winning and assuming he naturally goes up in weight along the way, and Golovkin stays at 160 and keeps winning, it's not entirely out of the question that the two could meet in the ring one day, couple years down the road. Probably not likely since Spence is a young guy and Golovkin is already 34, but it's possible. Just depends on how things go obviously. I can see Spence moving to 154 sooner rather than later, especially if he gets a big win next year like against Keith Thurman or someone along those lines. I think Spence can beat anyone at 147 right now, it's just a matter of time and how fast they progress him.
