Again, I'll ask who has Liam Smith fought and looked so convincing against at world level ? I can answer it for you but I won't as I would like to hear who you believe he has soundly beaten and looked world class against ? Don't answer the question with a question.
Well this is his chance to prove it. I didn't think Canelo looked world class up until the trout fight... Smith hasn't been coddled in the same way and is been thrown in the deep end, that can't be a knock on him. I think he's smart and that is his biggest asset in this fight.

It's a poor fight, to think it is ppv is a joke. But as is expected Saunders will face Carmeltoe in December, Warren appears to be Oscar's go to guy this half of the year. Maybe it was part of the deal, who cares, it brings Cameltoè one step closer to 160 though I expect their wil be a CW for Saunders of no more than 157.

dont rule out saunders beating canelo. Actually do rule it out cause he will never ever get a decision against him

I'm not writing off Smith's chances entirely, I just don't give him a particularly high chance. He's had no experience to suggest he will do well against a world class opponent who will not only be weighing in excess of 175+ he's facing an experienced pro in Cameltoè.

I'm not even hating that much on this fight, he's a title holder and usually deservingly so when they hold a title. Taking nothing away from him but who has he fought to suggest he has a chance, and what did he do to suggest he has ? Smith for his worth has no experience IMO.

Cameltoè ain't no pushover and I ain't suggesting Smith is either, I just find it increasingly difficult to get excited over this fight.

Really not in the mood to break Smith down as a fighter right now, Lets just say I think he will be competitive in the least.

I think we saw the limitations of SUnders versus Eubanks and he was fortunate Cris started very late. I don't rate BJS at all highly, it's a better fight than Smith at 154 though and a step in the right direction.

I've seen more crooked judging in the UK than the States, in fact I feel it is commonplace, I don't buy the UK is better than Germany or the States I feel it is considerably worse, of course this is just my opinion, but these Warren cards and Hearn leave a lot to be answered for at times.

Something was hugely amiss for that 114-114 card for PBF and Canelo, no mistakes there. Boxing can be shady and su****ion follows Canelo, I felt the cards for Lara were perfect though, although I questioned the Cotto cards too. The WBC has a large part to play in those bent cards, they're out of the picture now, we'll see I trust Oscar no more either.

Whilst on the subject of cards does anyone feel Haymon fights, PBC especially are in no way dodgy in the least ? Someone remakes the other day he was corrupt but I see Haymon just gets his men another shot so hasn't the need to influence anyone or anything one iota.

You can't break him down, not against top quality opposition anyway as he hasn't fought anyone with a pulse.

Carl "The Jackal" Frampton Vs Leo "El Terremoto" Santa Cruz

Regardless of the narratives being offered by some who.....

                    a) Want to belittle said fights in an attempt to further their own agenda of worshiping their chosen hero
                    b) Underestimate some of the above fighters through ignorance or
                    c) Truly believe these fights above to be uncompetitive cherry picks against smaller lesser men(Frampton very much less so)

I believe them to be competitive fights. In fact I think we may see a real change of the guard in boxing. Some think Kell is crazy, I however believe he is exactly as his nickname suggests and that is a special fighter. Frampton's stamina and chin have been questioned recently and many seem to think that Leo will expose this, I think he's already beaten a better fighter in Quigg. Smith has been called the weak link in the division and outright a bum, I think he a VERY intelligent fighter with deceptive power.

So I'm going on record, yeah I know they are all close fights if not downright steep hills to climb. But I'm predicting upsets in all of them. And if I'm wrong about them all?? How funny would that be

P.S Try not to get the usual Canelo/GGG argument going please....it's happening in many other threads, doesn't need to happen here.
Haven't seen Smith fight at all so I won't comment on it but Smith looks like he's two weight classes smaller than canelo from some of the highlights I've seen.

Brook I saw like twice and I don't see what your seeing. He doesn't do anything better than ggg and I dont his power is gonna affect ggg at all. Ggg took some clean shots from big punchers like lemieux and Stevens and it didn't even phase him so I'm not sure what Kell can do.

I'm surprised at what happened last night with lsc Frampton. I think frampton caught lsc early and it made him tentative the rest of the fight because I don't remember lsc punch output that low ever so kudos to Frampton for controlling the pace of the fight. I had the fight on mute and I had lsc winning but I was ok with either decision just because half of lsc punches were like arm slaps. If lsc actually knew how to box that fight wouldn't even have been close because he have all the tools to be a good one. I think it's time to get a new trainer.

Fun thread to read so far without all the ggg or canelo hate. You don't happen to be from the UK? You seem bias towards them.

Frampton impressed me last night. I didn't think he would be able to keep up with LSC's workrate. But you could tell early on that his shots were crisper and harder. Even in the exchanges it was LSC that was backing away. Frampton is a lot better than I gave him credit for. I guess he was right about being stronger and better at 126
