New Brook Interview: GGG, Eubank Jr, Khan

dang, calling Eubank Sr. an idiot... hope Eubank Jr. hears this...
in other news..
If they offered Lara the same contract as Eubank Jr. "and then to Brook" would Lara have taken it?
Or is it Haymon's fault and Lara's fault? -
Good to see Kell relaxed and confident, he knows the size of the task in front of him and I think we'll see a great performance. Whether he will win or not I don't know, as long as he can carry good power to MW to make GGG think twice about walking through him then he has a good chance.Comment

Brook still isn't in 'middleweight mode' yet, can't really blame him though... he looked a bit confused at first when Kugan asked about him vs Eubank.
He sounds like Khan about being beast in camp at a certain weight.Comment

you have to ask Hearn that... oh wait Hearn isn't Lara's promoter.
Better question is, can Lara and Haymon offer GGG the money that Hearn offered him? if the answer is no then maybe you should stop comparing apples to Bananas and calling it steak.Comment

This is what you call a "paradox." Only us boxing aficionados that like styles will bring up Lara as the #1 154 and most dangerous Southpaw for Lil'G.
You're right, Lara and Haymon are not Hearn's business or setup for this fight.
Therefore, where do you think the criticism is going toward? Loeffler? For agreeing to fight a 147? Forget about Hearn for a second, but defending the 160 WBC, WBA, and IBF seems very practical against a 147 fighter don't you think?
Or wait, let me guess, as Lil'G fans suggest, Brook is a blownup Welterweight, therefore, Lara is unacceptable? I guess Lara is a pimp for continuously call out Golovkin and they decline because Loeffler knows it wouldn't do well at the American Airlines Arena in Miami? A population of 1mill+ cubans that wouldn't have a clue? Spare me.Comment

Boxing is a business and business is simple. Your revenue has to be more than your expense to make the fight possible. With Lara's popularity, he doesn't deserve more than 500k for a fight because money doesn't fall from the sky. He gets as much as he brings.Comment

yeah but then there's a thing called venue location and pricing and how much two promoters are willing to put into the fight. price tickets cheap at the American Airlines Arena in MiamiComment

There are two fighters to each equation, you can't say that GGG and Loeffler at fault just like you can't say that Lara is at fault. GGG or as you know him 97k guy isn't in a position to offer multi million dollar fights to fighters who can't carry their own weight (financially). Even his offer to BJS was 2 million dollars (as per BJS) and BJS turned it down. pretty much every fighter looks out for themselves, as we all do. Lara fight might be more intriguing than the brook fight but if it can't be made financially then it can't be made. This fight was made vs brook because it can be made financially that is all there is to it. If you can name one fight in the 154-168 division span (aside from Canelo and Eubank) where GGG can make the same money as he is making with Brook (or even close) and the opponent is willing to get into the right then go ahead let me know who that is.This is what you call a "paradox." Only us boxing aficionados that like styles will bring up Lara as the #1 154 and most dangerous Southpaw for Lil'G.
