So, this is really a thing now? I like this one, for both guys. Gives Joshua a crack at someone who actually has a chance. I hope Wilder didn't take too much out of Stiverne so that we can see a competitive fight here and Joshua can finally prove something.

I can tell by the comments that many of you do not truly follow the sport inside out like a lot of us die hard do. No disrespect intended. However let's look at this situaction from a birds eye view.

I keep reading that Stiverne has an epic chin and that Wilder could not knock him out. What those posters are neglecting to also say is that a Wilder broke his hand in the 4th round of thst fight and prior to breaking it he had knocked down and hurt Stiverne a few times. Now obviously if his hand was broken he could not continue to throw with full knockout power. Add that to Stiverne having a solid set of whiskers than you have Wilders ONLY fight to not end by stoppage. So let's consider all the facts when making our assessments on fighters.

Joshua will be a great test to see where Stiverne is in his career at this point, as well as it will be Joshua's highest level of competition so we will learn a lot about him. But we cannot compare what Wilder did or didn't do against Bermaine to what Joshua can or cannot.

Also if what Stivernes camp says about him being energy drained going into the fight is true, than its possible he may have done better and made the fight closer or possibly even won it.

Stiverne has very slow feet, but he's definitely more skilled than any of the other opponents Joshua has faced.
