GGG vs Canelo - Who ducked who?

    So, who ducked who?

    Canelo:

Canelo said he'd fight GGG at 155 straight after the fight with Khan. He said he was from Mexico and they don't back down from anyone.

After that, he backed down. He gave his WBC belt to GGG instead of fighting him for it and went to 154 - a weight limit he hasn't made in about 3 years - to fight Liam Smith.

Him and his team then promised to fight GGG in September '17, something Tom Loeffler later said wasn't true at all.

    GGG:

Said he'd fight anyone from 154-168 in 2013. That has now been known to mean Mayweather at '54 and Chaves at '68, and then only '60. no one else.

Said he was the 160 champion and he will unify all of the belts at 160 and that was his goal. Has mocked Canelo for wanting to fight at 155.

    - Has never received an offer to step into the ring with Canelo at '55 or any other weight.

Problem is, Canelo never fought at 160 and didn't intend to. He should have NEVER fought for those belts, or should have dumped them immediately. I'm fine with him staying at a weight he's comfortable with but don't go grabbing belts in a weight class and holding them hostage at the minimum weight. I wouldn't say anyone ducked, GGG wasn't willing to fight him at Caneloweight and Canelo was never interested in being a true MW.

We don't really know what kind of weight concession Ggg was willing to make, it didn't get that far. Canelo gave up the belt before any offers were made

With all the talking Sanchez does, if GGG was willing to compromise on weight you would have heard about it. Guaranteed.

I'm not blaming GGG or saying he should go down, that's something each fighter should decide. But, there's no way GGG would have been willing to go down without them broadcasting that.

I don't know why you'd advertise it before the negotiations even start. It's major leverage. I understand if it was a voluntary with guys from different weight classes, but they were ordered to negotiate or Canelo loses the belt

GGG clearly ducked CANELO & others.

CANELO before and after the Cotto fight said he'd fight GGG or anyone at 155. CANELO offered 155 & 156(Hopkins in HBO With Jim Lampley) & even said a weight they both feel comftorable at.

CANELO'S Trainer-" Yes we will fight GGG at 155 no problem, he's not the marvel people make him out to be."

                    GGG responded with 160 or no fight, not 159, 158, 157, 156, or 155.

GGG & Team GGG never wanted the CANELO fight , they played hardball they didn't budge from 160 on purpose , forcing CANELO to vacate, to avoid the purse bid, where CANELO would have to give 5 pounds + half the money & have only half a training camp(lawsuit case)while GGG had a full training camp with no distractions.

GGG tried to dictate terms to CANELO , Floyd, Ward , Lara etc. Let that sink in for a minute.

It's weird how people would believe GGG the guy who called out the best from 154-168 and never backed up the big talk , over proven top fighters with great resume's like Floyd ,CANELO , Ward , Lara etc.

Fast forward to today , GGG's career has been all lies & hipocracy, he's a fraud, check his age & resume. Just imagine the resume he could have built if he didn't act like this super A-Side & have excuses for these fighters who excepted his open challenge of 154-168 by putting their name & weight # on the list. Ward, Mora, Lara, CANELO, Hopkins, Degeale , Floyd, RAMIREZ. Even when Brook called him out at 155 GGG said he's too small, only to sign a fight with him at the full 160, now Brooks some how a big and strong guy according to GGG. Lol

Team GGG-"Were not after CANELO , we want him to vacate so we can defend the titles at middleweight , we want to do what's right".....only to get the belt and defend it against a 147 pounder right after.

Abel Sanchez on the sparring between (age 29)GGG vs. (age 20)CANELO-" Out of all the fighters that sparred with Gennady , CANELO did the best."
Team GGG fear CANELO , they know they only have a punchers chance at the full 160 vs. CANELO , that's why till this day they haven't budged from 160.
If a WW Brook asked for a 155 & 157 CW but he has to go to the full 160, further proves my point.
