Anyone know what happened to Travis Simms? He knocked out Alejandro Garcia for the WBA light middle title on Don King's massive 'Undisputed' show - the one where Hopkins beat on Joppy all night long. He fought Bronco McKart in his first defence but hasnt fought since. Now Garcia's got the title back and is attempting to unify against IBF champ Roman Karmazin. Where's Simms gone to?!

He was the interim wba titlist and i last seen him handin a beatin to bronco mckart on the undercard of tito-mayorga back in 04, why did he stop fighting, injuries, jail??? can someone help me out? -
I taught he was overrated. The Garcia win was a fluke. Yeah, Garcia should of been protecting himself. But without that, i think Garcia would have beaten him.Comment

Travis Simms
The last time I heard about him, he is in Litigation with the WBA and Don King.
Man, from what I heard their ****ed!(WBA, King), I see another situation like G. Rocchigiani against the WBC, those poor guy's always seem to do the wrong thing, what a bunch of greedy bastards!!! and what I seen of him (Simms) he's a damn good fighter!, I think that he is one of the top in Jr. middleweight/ Middleweight.
And if I here any more bull crap about Simms hitting Garcia with on a break, I'll slap them silly, myself!!!, the guy (Simms) clearly was ahead in the fight and right before knocking
"Terra-able" Garcia out, he hit him with a left hook that almost tore his frecking head off and right then he was out on his feet, I think that if Simms would have farted Garcia would have fell the same way!
But, back to your question? I live in the City and I work for the Federal Courts and I seen Simms name on a doc petition for mediation schedule for sometime at the end of this month.

Simms is still the best fighter King has !
See it's people like you that don't know anything about him, yet you stated that Simms would not have fought for the title if it wasn't for King, so just to let you know abit of information!
Simms, was mandatory for the WBA title back when Santiago Samaniego was the champion and and Simms was not sign with Don King, but for whatever the reason Don King continued to block Simms from fighting his champion by signing other Super Welterweights and putting them in the fights with his champions instead of doing the right thing and letting his champion face thier mandatories, like Simms was, and this is why it's become a circus act, becuase King put Garcia in with Samaniego when he was not even rated and he knock out Samaniego, while Simms has threating to sew the WBA and Don King to enforce his mandatory, then King pull it off again by not putting the undeserving champion Garcia in against Simms to cure the mandatory, but signed Roshii Wells and put him in the fight with Garcia,with all this going on Simms then sign with King thinking that with him being that mandatory it would be alot easier getting the fight for the title, but guess what? king again after signing simms tried to put Garcia in another fight with Gustovo Maganonos,but Simms started has litigation against the WBA and King back then, then Don King invited Simms to the press confernce in NYC as a guest and shockingly called Simms up to the stage and introduced him as the challenger against Garcia.
So, before you make another dumb ass remark, please know the facts!
(by the way, when he fought Garcia he had the flu w/ 120* fever with 2 factured hands from camp!) and still beat Garcia easy.
