I don't understand why anybody would want pacquiao to retire when he is the best welterweight in the sport, he makes at least 20 million a fight and gives a large amount of his money to charitable causes. I think it would be a ke crazy of him to retire before he really starts showing a decline. He has declined somewhat since his prime, but he is still good enough to school the top welterweights as he showed in his last fight. And I highly doubt Bob arum is the one who convinced him to come back, because again why would he need convincing its really a no brainer

This shouldn't surprise any thinking person.
It's not like the guy is a politician with any intellect. He's certainly inspirational, and that shouldn't be understated, but unfortunately he's also a dim-witted religious nut. This isn't a good combo bc it means that the pressure will always be on for a return to the only reason he's there in the first place: hand-to-hand combat.
It's like Michael Buffer being famous for a catch phrase. He's gonna have to develop the constitution to dig his heels in deep, or he'll end up a vegetable after a few more years of head trauma.
