Say what you will about Broner but his elegance is unrivaled.

Does anyone know what the offer was. I certainly don't think Broner should get $10 mil. This would be Broner's biggest pay day and he needs the money for sure. I guess Broner will have to fight a lot of fights to get what he wants and on smaller stages.

My guess is around what Bradley got if not a little less. Bradley made 5m, 6m, 4m for his 3 fights with Manny. Broner makes about 1m every time he fights. So even if they give him the lowest 4m still almost 4X Broner's career high payday. I think Broner's career high was last year when he fought Porter and he only made 1.3m. And Thurman and Porter just made 1.4m and 1m respectively a few weeks ago. That's basically the best you gonna get for a big fight on PBC. So Broner has no leverage and looks foolish turning down this kind of money.

No way Broner asked for $5-6mil. My guess is, it's higher. Rios was getting close to that fighting Manny. Rios was guaranteed $4mil.. I don't think arum would have any problems paying broner $5-6mil.

Broner or anyone else not with Arum already had a less than zero percent chance of fighting Pac. At this point, Broner, Crawford, Garcia all have a real chance of beating Pac. Anyone who believes Arum would allow someone not with him to beat the great Manny and reap the huge paydays that would follow knows nothing or is lying to himself. Hate on Broner all you want, he has brought that on himself, but AB sure isn't scared like most fighters today. He lost to Maidana and Porter, but he actually fought them. Broner and Garcia stand zero chance of beating Pac. I don't think Crawford could beat him and Crawford is 10 times the boxer that either of those two are

This is the problem promoters face when they initiate the talks. They stand to lose the upperhand in the negotiations. Of course, the one they reach out to can easily say, "Since you're the one who needs me, you have to give me what I want."

And so the need is not mutual after all. Which effectively kills any further negotiations.

This is what will happen if GG's promoter contacts Lara. They will get exactly the same antagonistic response without any hope of going with it any further.

You can't go by that because Manny's PPV buys have steady declined over the years and his purse guarantee is too high. If you paid everyone based on what Rios got years ago then Bradley should of been paid 2-3X that. Yet early this year he only got a guarantee on fight night of 4mil and that fight LOST money doing about 400k PPV buys. Manny is going to make close to 20m that doesn't leave much more for his opponent. Especially one who has ZERO leverage like Broner. He is fighting for 1m and has no fight within PBC that offers him even 2m. He has already lost twice and a win over him at this point does little for Manny's career or anyone else at WW for that matter.

If Broner's demanding he be paid more then 6m (basically 6X his career high payday) he's a damn fool. Manny has many options and unless Broner is fighting Floyd there is nobody else he can fight that will make him EVEN HALF the money he can make fighting Manny.
