    New interview with Tom Loeffler.

    • Brook couldn't get a high profile fight at welterweight and GGG can't get any high profile fights at middleweight
    • Never talked to Eubank Sr regarding the fight.
    • Same exact contract at Eubank. All they did was change the name on the contract
    • Everyone is asking for $2 million dollars to fight GGG and they're pricing themselves out
    • Saunders was asking for double the highest payday GGG has ever made ($4 mil?)
    • Gennady sold out MSG, sold out the Forum, and is expecting to sell out the arena in the UK. No other fighter has done that
    • There are no other realistic alternatives for a high profile fight as Kell Brook
    • Porter was the best welterweight when Brook beat him
    • When the two fighters stand next to each other at the NY press conference on Thursday you'll see how GGG and Brook are similar in size. Kell Brook is actually bigger than GGG right now. GGG doesn't get any bigger than 175 when he's not fighting
    • Hearn already had the arena booked so they had to take the fight. Arenas are booked months in advance.
    • GGG is undefeated and Brook is undefeated. GGG likes those type of fights. Can't look past Brook to Canelo because just like Kovalev last night, GGG can have a bad night. He had the flu against Rosado who should've never been in his class.
    • If there was no Kell Brook there would've been a contigency plan with HBO and another fight would've been made. No opponents as attractive as Brook. Wade was the mandatory. Willie Monroe Jr was the best opponent available last year when the fight was made
    • Jacobs has a fight scheduled with Mora. You can't just make that fight happen. It's going to have to be in NY and it has to be on PPV in order to make the economics work. That's not just a fight you can throw together.
    • GGG will fight again this year after Sept 10th. Ramirez fight will likely be made in 2017
    • Fighting Canelo in Sept is a better idea than waiting 5-6 years for Floyd to fight Manny.
    • March, June, Sept, Dec 2017 is ideal for GGG to fight next year with the June fight in his home country.
    • Gets along with everyone at golden boy and regular contact with Gomez but haven't had any luck getting a signed contract to guarantee a fight in Sept 2017.
    • Gonzalez vs. Cuadras in Sept isn't confirmed yet. Pushing HBO to give Gonzalez his own date.
    • Klitschko vs Fury date isn't confirmed.

Q: Shouldn't this fight be seen as a spectacle rather than a competitive fight?

A: If Brook had had a number of defeats and had gotten KO'd before then it would be like Khan-Canelo. Brook doesn't know how to lose and he's as big as GGG. Brook will bring his speed up from Welterweight

Q: What is the highest weight class can we expect GGG to compete in?

A: GGG is a small MW. Tried to make a couple of fights at 168 but cant get anyone to fight him. DeGale hasn't agreed to fight him. Couldn't get Chavez Jr to fight him. Couldn't get Froch to fight him at. A good chance the Ramirez fight will happen. GGG will only go up to 168 for a big fight then will come back down to 160

Q: Will GGG return to fight in the U.S. in December after this fight

A: If Eubank Jr agrees to fight him. Eubank Sr. thought he had a more powerful position than he had. Or Carl Froch might see this fight and decide to come out of retirement.

All valid points. Why so mad at him then? This is what everyone can see.

I actually like the Brook vs GGG fight.

But shame on Team GGG for saying the beat up Kovalev, Heavyweights and Cruiserweights and then try to justify the fight by saying GGG is no bigger than 175 lbs

Wow so Golovkin walks around at 175, so much for being small.

Tom Loeffler is a goon. Complaining or justifying why he doesn't need to "PAY" or setup figures TODAY and not bringing up resumes is just cowardice. We don't want to hear about Geale turning down Lil'G vs Proksa for Sturm. What does 2012 have to do with 2016 and the backing of HBO CHampionship headliners, Air Jordan, Apple, Samsung?

Dork. Casually doesn't bring up Lara.

Notice how Loeffler never gives realistic examples of meritocracy in the sport and instead just generalization ad homimems over others.

Undisputed Championship network again with faillure.

BS. Brook could have unified vs Vargas, then fought Thurman or Garcia. Welter is loaded. Brook had plenty of good fights.

So why did Gennady have to take his title and fight in the B-side's back yard? If he's such a draw in the U.S., why not make Brook come here????

Best welterweight not named Mayweather, Pacquiao or Thurman, apparently.

It's so cute that Loeffler still thinks that Canelo wants to fight him. Ever.
