  • Comments Thread For: Brook's Challenge of Golovkin Shows Signs of 1980s Greatness

By Lyle Fitzsimmons - When a note from Gennady Golovkin's publicist hit my inbox Friday afternoon with a subject line heralding a September fight with Kell Brook, I was sure I'd seen it wrong. So when I clicked ahead on the email, I made sure to read it twice. By the time I'd completed all 863 words the second time, I'd come to a definite conclusion.

One of the most de****able articles ever. Duran, Hearns and Leonard all moved to 154 before going to 160.

Brook hasn't done enough for this fight to be labled a throw back blast from the past. If he would have stepped up to the plate and defeated thurman and garcia then maybe so or had the other champions fearing him on a golovkin, pacquiao type status. Little floyd had the chance to really be great but he was a chicken and avoided all risk.

Sadly, yes. Ironic to see the backlash against Canelo, followed by the same critics stuck facing the fact that their guy just did the same thing. You can tell one's character by how they react to that type of conundrum.

They hoping the boxing world views this is Leonard-Hagler but its clearly Canelo-Khan and this writer need to keep it real!

GGG is the A Side the cash cow and P4P champion. Any pretenders want a payday they have to come to The King GGG aka The African Assassin

Great Article......I predict GGG will win by body punch KO in the 7th rd.......no other welterweight wanted a piece of Brook.....Brook would have punished Ginger and track star Lara....I see nobody in a hurry to unify the welterweight.....they all belong to the Protecting Boxing Cowards aka PBC outfit....Hopefully GGG wont ever leave the Middleweight Division till he loses that way he exposes the pretender...you'll know the ones that price themselves out....vacate...or that just bark loudly via socialmedia.....
