Chilemba has never decisively lost a fight. He's looked good against other East Europeans such as Vlasov and Lepikhin.

This isn't an easy fight for Kovalev.
He may not have decisively lost IYO but you can't just overlook the fact he was in close fights with opponents that are not that great. His ring ranking of #7 seems high given the fact he is not ranked in the top 10 by the Transitional boxing rankings and #9 on NSB.

Kov should win without much trouble here.

Chilemba is a stay-busy fight for Kovalev, much like Brand is a stay-busy fight for Ward. Nothing to get excited about here. The only thing is, that Ward is supposed to be preparing to fight a championship fight against Kovalev @ LHW. Facing career SMW Brand will not help him prepare for that fight.

A fighter as good as Chilemba being considered a tuneup is a testament to Kovalev's talent. Looking forward to this one.

I can see Chilemba making Kovalev look bad.

The only scenario that looks good for Kovalev is an early stoppage.

total mismatch meant to make kovalev look good, just like the guy ward is fighting.

we need to stop proping this guy up just because he's a kovalev opponent.

he's coming off of a loss.
